Scenes vs rules
Need Answer
Sometimes, same results
can be achieved using both a rule or a scene (eg. Open or close all the
shutters of your home).
In this cases, do you
suggest to use scenes or rules?
Is there any advantage
in using one of the two?

I'm using both - especially for roller shutters. For me it's easier to change scenes (include or exclude one shutter, changing the value of the shutting).
In the rules i can combine these scenes with several trigger for different days or time periods. E.g. shutting from Monday to Friday or Saturday and Sunday, periods of absence - without defining alwas the roller shutter.
Greetings

Even though you can use both to achieve the same results I think this is more of a preference than a rule. Is like using subroutines or functions in different programming languages. I think they both have pro's and con's, scenes are ment to be used often and "on demand" that is why they have their own section and buttons on the UI, you can quickly turn ON/OFF lights etc, it is also very good to "group" similar actions.
I use rules to group similar actions or when I have many devices that need to operate at the same time, and then use the interface to trigger them manually (on demand) or I use rules to "automate" scenes.
