Setting a timer as light switch

Smart Valentine shared this question 7 years ago
Need Answer

I tried to

set a rule to switch the light on at 18:00 and turn it off at 22:00 from

Monday to Sunday, every week. Below, you can find two examples as

screenshot how I thought it would be working properly, but

it did not do so.

I noticed

that the timer has no value included in "Astro" and "Astro offset".

Picture 3: setting value is missing in Timer's "Astro" and Astro offset".

Same timer setting is applied on Rule_1 and Rule_2.

Valentine,

I think the issue is that you don't have a virtual weather station configured in your system. In order for the "Astro" setting to have a dropdown selection you first have to add a virtual weather station to your system, this so zipato cloud can know when is the proper time for sunset or sunrise where you live. Take a look at my screenshots attached.

Thank you for the quick response, Alberto.

I added the virtual weather station and values of “astro” and “astro offset” could appear in the schedule. But the problem to get the rule working remains.

Below, I put some screenshots: Rule_1 and Rule_3 under application of Schedule_1 and Schedule_2. Both rules do notwork.

I suppose that using the Timer generatesthe error or may I set it wrong (see Schedule_1 and Schedule_2) ..?
