Settings for arming the Security System with a Keyfob

Need Answer

Since a long time I have a Keypad working with my Security System for arming / disarming.

I can remember I was struggling for a while to get i working.

Now I wanted to add a Keyfob (Z-Wave>ME) and use it for arming / disarming too.

I tried to add it as a second device in parallel to the Keypad. In the USER section of the alarm partition it is shown. I can select button 1 CLICK for arming away and button 2 CLICK for disarming for example. But when I save it is NOT saved. And of course it is not working.

May be there are some other places where I have to register this device for arming?

Or are the settings for the Keyfob relevant for use with security partition?

Has anybody a Keyfob working with his security partition?

Thanks for help

Bernd

Bernd,

The same thing has happened to me, you have to sync after you save and then refresh the window so they appear again. I don't have a keyfob but the same happened to me with my yale lock.

With the server outages some funny behavior may be expected, right now my zones are not showing the configured sensor (none of them).

Alberto,

thanks for your comment. But I did as you suggested. Not only once but I don´t know how often.

I just excluded the keyfob and newly included it. It is shown in the user section of the security partition beside my mini keypad, I can choose it, it is shown in the respective input field, I can choose click button 1 for arming, click button 2 for disarming -all the variety from click button 1 over doubleclick button 1 over hold button on until release button 4 is available for choosing - but when I say save, then sync then refresh and the once again look into the user section all the inputs are gone - nothing in the second device is saved.

I don´t have established a virtual alarm PRO just a normal virtual alarm. Is there the reason that I can have only one device for arming / disarming per user?

Which parameters have to be set for the keypad? I have set parameters 1 and 2 to zero for independent usage of the four keys and the parameters 11 and 12 for key 1 and 2 for sending just on/off commands to associated devices in Group A and B - which I want to use for arming/disarming.

I have no idea what else I could try to get it working. I must have overlooked anything but I don´t know what and in which settings

Bernd,

As far as I know the only difference between alarm PRO and alarm is the notifications you can configure, that might not be 100% correct, I have alarm PRO though, if you have the PRO licence try it out and see if it works. What firmware are you running on your box? that happened to me on previous firmwares, try to update to the latest beta and then do it again, if that doesn't help, open a ticket on Zipato Support.

OK guys, I solved the problem with a rule. It´s a pity that one cannot directly control the alarm as it should be possible but for the time being it is working

Thanks Alberto for your support
