Somfy RTS abnormal behaviour

Hello,

I have Somfy RTS roller shutters that I can include without issue. But then it doesn't seem to work well. Sometimes it doesn't respond to command at all, sometimes if I go to 10% for example, it will go all the way down, sometimes not.

I understand that the Zipabox can't know the position of the shutter if it hasn't moved it itself (is this right?), so if I use the remote to move it, I can see that it won't know where the shutter is, so will not be able to move it to the location I asked. But I tried to "sync" it, so have 0% with the shutter all the way up (or the other way around).

Also when configuring the offset, how does it work exactly?

My shutter takes 26 seconds to go all the way down and 28 seconds all the way up. I don't see an offset while going up, that is I can't see the shutter anymore and it stops at the same time. When going down, it touches the ground 4 seconds before it's entirely closed and stops.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

David

Hi, I have similar problem but also have a basic question. Independant from Zipabox, I can control my blinds with somfy Telis 4. One of the actions is the "My"-button which makes the blind stop at a preprogrammed position. I'm missing this action in the action list.

I can only see:

  1. Decrease
  2. Gotovalue
  3. Increase
  4. Setvalue (difference with Gotovalue?)
  5. Startchangedown
  6. Startchangeup
  7. Stopchange

Is there a way to let the blinds go to the My-position?

No, you can't do that.

I'm not sure how exactly it works because the remote doesn't know the position of the shutter so I'm guessing the position is stored in the shutter, which means that is shroud be possible to do it.

But the thing is that if you start to move the shutter from the Telis remote the Zipabox will not know it so it will not reflect the correct position. Now that it works well, I try to use only the Zipabox to control the shutters so I alway have the position known by the box.

Thanks David.

It looks like I'll have to experiment a bit (as soon as my malfunctioning 433Mhz-box is replaced).
