SONOS:1 Not added as an audio device, just as an ip device with no endpoints

Roland K shared this problem 8 years ago
Solved

I have a SONOS PLAY:1 (want to use for sounds based on doorbell press). However adding the device (both directly on the Zipatile and via the dev center in a browser) does give issues.

- add new device

- select SONOS

- it does find the PLAY:1 and straight adds the device (whether I put the SONOS PLAY:1 in learning or not) to the system

Now comes the problem:

- you can find it under IP in the MODULE MANAGER;

- it however does not have the endpoints required (so action, volume etc)

- the device is NOT added as a audio player in the device list as it should, it has no type filled in

I also manually selected the device type audio player in the module manager, which then adds it to the device list as a sound player. However it is of no use as it does not have functions (action, volume, etc) assigned to it (missing in endpoints). And it does not appear as a module in the rules builder.

What am I missing here ? Anyone has an idea

Vedran, thanks very much. I can confirm that the issue has been resolved. I now can add it as a real audio device and the rule builders recognizes it now. Thanks for this swift and instant support. This is what support needs to be. Regards, Roland

I sent you an email with the info. I cannot update the ticket as the ticketing system will not allow me to logon anymore. Keeps on telling me I have an invalid userid/pw even after resetting. Hope you received my e-mail and this is enough for you to continue the investigation

Can anyone perhaps post the solution here? I have the same issue and the comments are not helping much...

Zipato had to change endpoint and after

that I had to remove the device and re-join it again. That did the trick for

me. BTW I deleted and rejoined using the webapp, so not directly on the

zipatile. I do this as normal practice as I believe fixes are done in the

webapp and not perse in the the zipatile native android app, but that is

guessing from my side.

There are a number of gutter cleaning and repair services near you. You can use https://gutterscleaningcarync.com/ to find them or try looking in your local Yellow Pages or business directory.
