Sun screen check before opening

I'm using Fibaro sun screen modules to control my sun screens. No switches are connected. Under normal circumstances I would like to have them controlled automatically using sensors, but that is for the future once the 433mhz-module is out. Right now, I'll do it manually using the iphone.

One of the screens is interfering with the window, which is of course a risk when the screen is controlled automatically.

Therefor, I've tried to make a script that checks the state of my Fibaro door sensor on the window. If it's open, then the sun screen won't open for more than 10%. But that won't work. I guess it's because I use the "actuator" in the when-statement. Since I'm not triggering the script using an actual module, I guess using the actuator won't work.

To verify my findings, I've build a simple script where the switching of one light triggers another light. Using the iphone or web interface the 2nd dimmer doesn't get switched on. But pressing the switch, it does work.

Anyone care to make a suggestion on what I could do to make this work?
