Support for ID lock?

Geir Gullestad Pettersen shared this idea 8 years ago
Under Consideration

Hi,

Does Zipabox support the ID Lock from http://idlock.no ?

If so, does it support all features, including management of pin codes, etc - besides the obvious lock/unlock/status?

Thanks,

Geir

Hello Geir,

Currently ID Lock devices are not supported. We constantly try to support and integrate new networks and devices. At the moment, there hasn't been much interest for device in hand. If that changes, we will consider integration.

Best regards,

Geir,

I can confirm that Zipabox is working with ID Lock. Just installed and added. Only problem is some reporting issues, but that is most likely id locks fault.

Awesome, thanks for responding Reidar! What features did you find available, besides the obvious lock/unlock (which I expect work)?

Well haven't had too much time to explore but, as you said the obvious lock / unlock is working fine. It has also been added a Keypad device where it seems like i can change the two access codes in the lock (have not tested this as of yet).

For the reporting issues, there have been some users reporting same problems on both Fibaro HC2 and Vera i think. It seems like the lock is ending up with an status of unlocked no matter what (even though the lock is locked).

So, IDlock ships with Z-wave now? I can only find "Z-wave prepared in firmware" statement on their site. Does it also come with the chip?

Marius,

No it does not ship with the ZW module yet. Only betatesting, but i think they'll release it early next year.

Duplicate..

I am minutes away from becoming a IDLock beta tester. But then I read the following further up in this thread: "It has also been added a Keypad device where it seems like i can change the two access codes in the lock"

Is there really just two access codes to choose from? Some of the point in buying this was that each familiy member can have their own codes, and that I can create codes for temporary users.. Isn't this possible?

I will answer this myself after consulting the IDlock team.

The next firmware will bring multiple key codes support. Since IDlock uses Z-wave plus, the FW update will be OTA.

I hope Zipato support ota updates. Does anybody know more about this?

Awesome! I was a bit hesitant after your previous message, but that means I'll have to get the lock then; I already have the z-wave module which I ordered together with some other stuff a while ago.

Not sure whether zipato supports OTA upgrades, but it claims to be Zwave Plus compliant which I understand includes support for OTA upgrades. Assuming that information is correct the answer should be Yes.

I've got a RazBerry lying around somewhere and it is supposed to do OTA so that should do the trick.

@marius, did you get an ETA on the new firmware from IDLock? Also, do you have any documentation regarding supported command classes and/or configuration parameters?

photo

@Geir. I did not get a ETA on the firmware, but I have asked for it. I will post it if I get an answer. I haven't had the time to look for config/command classes either. I reckon I will know more after this weekend :)

About the OTA update, I might take the lock to one of my friends with different controllers, if Zipato does not support it yet (I will make a separate question thread in this forum).

I guess Zipato will need to load the firmware into the system, but I am not sure at all how this really works.

Their goal is to release the new firmware sometime this year, but they emphasize that they are uncertain about this :(

enclosed are the supported command classes

Z-wave module released to the masses today.

That's right, I wonder if the firmware is different from mine (I expect it to be)

Here is the functionality with Homeseer (translated from Norwegian document) https://www.intin.no/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/funskjonsmatriseidlock-1.pdf

Shows locked/unlocked state

  • Alert if someone uses the wrong access code
  • Change PIN/access code from controller
  • Scenario based on PIN entered (not sure what this means)
  • Scenario based on specific user PIN (I guess this would be "a rule to handle user PINs differently?)
  • Scenario based on indoor lock button (I guess to create a rule when indoor button used)
  • Scenario based on break in (Alarm class(?) when bolt in locked position is separated from the strike faceplate)
  • RFID card/fob registration

I hope Zipato will adopt this lock. It is really a quality lock system, and I think they will sell a lot of units. The Z-wave chip is backward compatible with every sold ID lock.

I have talked to ID Lock and firmware is updated.. Beta user can swap their current z-wave modules by shipping it to them. Great service!

I will also receive updated docs on the command classes in use. I will forward this to Zipato in hope for richer better device support by Zipato products

I have the latest Z-wave card for ID Lock but can´t get this to work with Zipabox in any way. Someone with helpful comments? Has Zipato done anything to support this lock yet?

Have you Zipatobox close too ID Lock when you include?

Zipato have not full support on ID Lock.

Thanks for your comment Erik. No, it´s about 6 meters with a concrete wall between. I have the lock included but no function is working. I also have a another Z-wave product 3 meters from the lock so It should work. Do you mean that there is some problem when the inclusion is done that make this happend?

I would try too include again. I have take picture of my configuration. See if this is same on you Zipatobox

Hi Erik. can you with the idlock activate alarm on zipabox when you close the door and can you have a another code to only unlock the door, and not activate the alarm ?

sometimes i only want to lock the door and not activate the alarm on zipaboxen.

See attached functionality using ID lock with various controllers. The document is unfortunately in Norwegian, and does not list Zipato products, but gives an idea of what is possible if the controller supports it.

I have attached document with z-wave commands in English.

Quite a lot of functionality. I can see that it is possible to get the index of the RFID card. This is good, but too bad it is not possible to use more than two PINs.

All people I know that have similar locks ends up with using PIN, not RFID. As do everyone in our family. It is a strange choice to only allow two PINs...

Never give up :-) Today i position my Zipabox 1,5 meters from my ID Lock and manage to include it with functions. Nice!

Is this device now fully supported by Zipato? (With all the functionality provided by IDLock?) I got an email from the IDLock producer today, and they said Zipato was wokring on implementation in november 2016, but they hadn't got any updated after that.

I'll try to wake up this thread again! Is the device fully supported by Zipabox?

Today I tried to order a ID Lock because my Yale Doorman lock is broken and I would like to have a Z-Wave integrated solution instead. Unfortunately, it seems to be a problem for the manufacturer to have units in stock. They are testing a new version of the ID Lock right now. Does anybody know something about this?

Hi, Just started trying IDLock (version 1). I can open and lock the door. And found a way to add more pin codes ( without z-wave only 1 or 2 can be set. Now I have 4 entries ;) . When added to Zipabox /zipatile, go to Devicemanager and show these

d817163f632185bdf5ace0c182c013d1

The first ( which I renamed) is the one that can open and lock the door.

ce0ca367cb365609420e860040e9bdb9

The User Codes allow you to add more PIN codes

fdb78bf139e50abb808bf444f6e2913f

1. Create Users in zipato

2. Edit User Codes and go to go to configuration

3. Select a slot and enter a event name ( I used persons name) and select user

4. Click on the CHANGE button and enter PIN

5. When done, touch the IDLock to wake it

6. Test new pincode

dd8e408a2c0319a4301fc57a78cd88d9

Picture show from slot 5 to hide my information ;)

Issue so far is that I have not been able to see a log with info about which user/PIN was entered or get a state from the IDLock if the door is open ( not closed, locked ok)

No info on the next version, as always IDLock is not sharing much information

Hello,

I have added 4 codes as you describe but for me just the codes in the first two slots is working. Are you shore all codes works for you? Have I done something wrong?

Hello

Have anyone managed to include the new ID Lock 150 to zipatile?

The exclusion works and inclusion start up but after 60s I get this message.

MANUFACTURER_SPECIFIC_REPORT not received.

I have tried several times and the zipatile only 20cm from the lock.
