@Arman,

As Alexa can only recognize a limited set of commands, I suggest you create a virtual switch (so you can use commands On, Off), and inside the rule, trigger IFTTT via HTTP/URL call to Maker Webooks, from which you then can do basically whatever IFTTT allows :-)

I also have a zipabox and just got amazon echo dot. I only enabled the skill on Alexa side but haven't had the time to set it up and test. I also use IFTTT for some stuff, exactly what are you trying to achieve?

I think if you want to trigger actions via IFTTT you should just use IFTTT. If you want to use actions within the zipato system I would use the native alexa support, it´s faster than IFTTT and you can use single devices, virtual switches and scenes.

Perhaps you could explain more detailed what you want to archive, than it would be easier for us to give an advice.

Just activate the Zipato skill for Amazon Echo, fill in name and password and thats it. After that go to the Smart Home Section of Alexa, search for new devices and Alexa will find all devices by their names (See attached picture) You can use scenes, on/off devices, thermostats, dimmable lamps and virtual switches (Küche in my example is a socket switch for the kitchen light, Hilfe (Help) sends me an email via a virtual switch if my mother calls out "Alexa, schalte Hilfe ein"
