What costs and what does not?

I'm so confused with all the posts about subscriptions, costs, monthly fees, credit, etc etc. Could someone tell me what I'm soon facing when I get my system up and running..? What costs and what does not? And how much?
Does the basic things and using the Zipabox go for free? Or do I have to buy some credits for every new device I integrate to my system? I understand that services like sending SMS does cost but using a home automation system can't cost...

All your basic functions and devices will always be free and work. Push messaging and emails are free and always will be. SMS is charged as it is hard to determine the charges based on countries and some poeple just do not need it and it is costly for Zipato to provide. All major controllers charge for this. Alternatively look at other options like pushingbox. Charges will be for more advanced features or new addons. Fees have not been set or fully determined yet but the basic functionality of the box will always be free and work.

At the same time there is possibility to buy "single license pack" and similar. that referens to amount of connected devices and when the "limit" is met.
Since zipato constantly have avoided to specify anything more exact so far i assume that they have not really made up there minds and deiced how it will work
