What is the logic used to calculate the state when grouping sensors or lights?
Need Answer
For example I made a group of 3 dimmers. I then made a rule to update a variable based on the intensity of that group of dimmers. What logic is used to determine "intensity" of a group? Is it the average of their values?
I am also curious about the same thing with respect to groups of sensors. If I make a group of 2 motion sensors is the value of MOTION on that group an AND or an OR? That is will the group state read as motion if one sensor is tripped or only if both are?

Information about grouping is not available anywhere (At least that I can find), groups don't work properly, I have a ticket opened for more than 6 months and still no update as of the solution.

I have found groups to work well for setting the intensity of several dimmers at the same time. Other than that I can't figure out the details of how they are supposed to work.
