Need Answer

Are there plans to make the Greenwave-5-port-powernode compatable with the Zipabox?

It's compatible

...the only thing that is not working like it should is the powermeting. Only 1 port gives real time info.

power-metering is one of the more important things.

Zipato, please fix this, I would like to buy two pieces.

Not going to happen. I already have this devices over 3 years and the problem is with Greenwave not with Zipato. Zipato can't do anything about this problem

And the powermeting is working but only 1 port is real time and it is not very accurate. But this devices is great valua for what it costs. So just get one! or two :)

I'm not too concerned with power metering.

Are all 5 ports able to be controlled individually?

Yup, working fine.

I ordered one of these before reading this thread.................... 1 port power reading would have been fine, but seems it is not accurate?

How do you know the problem is with Greenwave and not Zipato? When it arrives tomorrow I'll test it, and if not working correctly contact Greenwave, but I can already imagine their reply: this is a problem with the Zipato controller, not Greenwave :-)

thanks

I know that the problem is with Greenwave because Zipato told me and other boxes have the same problem(s).

Ok, the thing arrived and indeed only 1 port shows power consumption and this is not accurate either, so I contacted the vendor, below their reply.

"I don't believe that this is a problem with the Greenwave device since it has been Certified by Sigma Designs as being compliant with the appropriate Z-Wave technical specifications.

I believe that it will require Zipato to implement full support for the device in their Z-Wave controller firmware.

As an example, the Fibaro Home Center 2 controller with firmware version 3.5x has the same behaviour that you observe in Zipabox. However, in the recently released 4.042 firmware version for HC2 the device is now working perfectly, all 5 sockets are controllable and reporting the correct power consumption data for each socket."

Conclusion:

It seems other boxes HAD the same problem, and a firmware update fixed these.
