Z-Wave Native Association

Need Answer

I'm trying to control a Fibaro Wall Plug from the S2 switch of a Fibaro In-wall Dimmer 2 through a native Z-wave association because of speed (I did it through a rule and it responds slooow)

So, to the dimmer module I connected 2 momentary switches. S1 controls the main light nicely.

In the control center I go to the Module Manager, select the properties of the dimmer, go to the advanced tab and click Manage Associations. There I select Group 4 (On/Off S2) and drag the Wall plug to the middle list and click send.

But when I click the S2 button, nothing happens... What am I doing wrong? I assume more people are using this functionality?

Double check the success of sending by clicking retrieve.

Also, you can check if the two are neatively connected if you open up the setting for group 4 of the dimmer and then in the tab binding. The right line should be in green and marked also as native.

Im unable to show how its supposed to be as I dont have any native bindings done, but you should have the binding shown

When I click retreive it shows it correctly, so it seems it is written to the zwave module.

When I to to the group 4 of the dimmer and go to the tab binding, nothing at all is shown..

Try to go to one higher level. At some point the bining tab will be full (like mine in the previous message)

You have to pick the main device...

The main device does not have the bindings tab. Some of the child nodes do, but nothing is checked.

Go to the advanced tab, manage associations, then a window should pop up with the associations for every group.

Yes, I added it there but it has no effect. I was trying to find the thing Attila Hajdu was talking about

Did you try to send and then retreive? check that the association in the middle window remains. Sometimes it takes sending more than once, if you retreive and the associated device does not dissapear then the association is done.

Yes, I tried that. When I click receive, it's still there in the middel, so I would think it is saved in the module..

Now try to tick native binding in this Binding tab and then tick the desired device. There is surely a difference between gaugeevent and sensorevent section but as it looks im not sure which one is the fibaro wall plug. Guess trial and error.

Alternatively raise a ticket with support.zipato.com

Weird I have done it with qubino flush relays and Zipato Bulbs without issues. Never a Fibaro device though, if you cannot get it to work follow Attila's advice and open a ticket.

Olivier , did you find out about this? I have the exact same problem - the device shows up in associations group 4 on the fibaro dimmer, but nothing happens when I push the button. And if I go into bindings the list is empty.

The top level "Kjøkken Taklys" does not have the binding tab, the "group 1,2,3,4 and Button 2" have bindings tabs which are empty (no devices shown). The one shown with a green square does have binding tab with devices but not shure how I will add bindings to S2. Can anyone explain?
