Z-wave Warning "Device, endpoint and cluster names will be reset to default values"

If you go to "configure node" in a Z-Wave device you get the warning "Device, endpoint and cluster names will be reset to default values". Does this mean that you can't even inspect the current configuration? Is an instant reset carried out?
