Zipabox allready registered...

Need Answer

Bought a new Zipabox from Clasohlson in sweden, box was scratched up and when trying to register the box to my account i guess its serial number allready been used..

300 dollar, and u get an used scratched box? what kind of bullshit is this, are u guys gonna resolve this or the store?!

And i have been trying all kinds of solutions from u guys ive found here on forum, forwarding ports and such, ive even runned the zipabox without my router to be clear that problem isnt on my side...

What ports is actually used? Different threads say different things.. Im really unsure i wanna keep this... seems so un-legit

Peter,

Clas Ohlson (gadget-stores in Scandinavia) has a 90 day, no questions asked, money back guarantee. If a customer returns a working product, it is returned to the shelves and sold as new.

There is nothing Zipato can do about this policy of one of their resellers. Given that Zipato owns the database, they could easily delete the current registration and allow you to re-register. I don't know if they will, though, for security reasons: Zipaboxes are used also for security purposes.

My advice is to return it to the store for replacement.

yes, Zipato have a pretty strict policy for resellers. You can also try contacting them at support@zipato.com. The forum is not the place to get this type of help, but it is good to let other future customers know of thier transgressions.

I had the same issue, contacted support by opening a ticket here, and gave them my serial number (and a photo showing that I had that actual device). Support fixed it on the next working day by resetting their database, and I could register my device.
