this would depend on your camera and whether it can send a http command on motion. Easiest way would be to use a zwave motion sensor device, then have the motion trigger a rule that sends a IR command via the IR transmitter to change to the channel for you. But to display the camera would be another thing. Personally I would use a mini android pc connected to your TV and install Tinycam pro on it. This would have all your cameras connected to it, and would then be displayed on that channel. Tinycam can also run a webserver itself so you can connect to it remotely. But it is only available on android currently, so IOS no luck.

Alternatively you could use Tasker, autoinput and autonotification, but this is more techy. Tinycam pro also works with tasker which is great too.

if you use the ir controller, https://www.zipato.com/product/ir-extender, you can use the learn function to learn the input channel code from your remote. If your tv remote can only cycle through the inputs, then this is no help and you are stuck.

Most AV receivers, if you use this instead of a tv for channel selection, have different codes for different inputs. The easiest way to learn these can be with a logitech harmony remote and software. Buy a cheap harmony remote, setup an account, add your reciever, find the input you want, assign a button to it, then aim it at the ir extender and learn the code.

Hi,

Just a hint regarding TV activation: on my side I benefit from hdmi CEC protocol (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consumer_Electronics_Control)

=> my internet provider TV box (FREEBOX, french very good one :-)) support http command, and is connected in hdmi to my TV.

=> Both TV & Internet provider TV box support HDMI CEC protocol

=> When the proper rule is trigger in zipabox, it sends a power-on http command to my TV box, which thanks to HDMI CEC also power-on my TV. A few http commands more and it automatically displays on my TV the channel I set-up :-)

Most recent HDMI TV support CEC. In case it helps your set-up...

Cheers
