Zipatile: activate Screen with a rule?

I got my ZipaTile 2 days ago and learning to work with it. Besides some bugs, I get where I want to get.

There's one thing I'm wondering: is there a possibility to activate the ZipaTile display through a rule?

e.g.: If Motion Sensor "motion", set lights in that room an AND activate the ZipaTile display?

Currently not possible, but seems to be nice trick. We will add it.

Meanwhile, you can turn on LED lights, and set color.

Hi Sebastian,

yeah, I think that would be cool. So I don't need to tap the screen to see the basic information on my homescreen :D

good idea, although i'm sure there are apps that can support this feature. It is definitely a good idea to allow support the swipe feature of the zipatile, or can swipe work with the screen off? That would be awesome.

I think we can mark this as completed. In the rules you can now activate the screen.

How is that possible now? Didn't find anything in the rules...

Thanks - but I don't have the "Zipatile" nor do I have a "Screen state" in my rule manager...What's wrong? Zipatile also has no firmware or app repo update...

"Zipatile" = Zipatile motion sensor

I think you need to create a ticket and ask customer support to reboot your Zipatile in order to get the internal devices.

For me the device "screen-state" is available since the beginning, I do not remember what firmware, but I have one of the first Zipatile. Maybe it's a single problem and you should contact support.

BTW... thats my rule to activate the Zipatile Screen by motion. The screen is only deactivated when there is no more motion recognized by the motion sensor. You have to deactivate the screen deactivation in the android settings.
