My zipatile is installed with 4 roller shutter from fibaro and 3 realy switch from fibaro the signal range in my appartment is great and the communication is fine! But the problem is when i move the zipatile even for 30 cm or 1 m from it's place the modules showns on zipatile UI who were communicatoing well with the zipatile controller goes offline with the red line!!!! so i have to restart again the zipatile or i wake up the roller shutter smanuallay and this is so bad!!! or i have to reboot Zipatile and do ZWNTUT!!!

I've seen that so many time!! So doi have to keep the zipatile fixed on the well without moving to avoid that issue???

Greetings,

A Z-Wave controller, like your Zipatile, should not be moved.

All Z-Wave devices, with the exception of portable remote controllers, should be in a fixed position at all times.

Hani,

As Marko stated, Zipatile is meant to be fixed at the wall, what is happening is that by moving it you are affecting the routing paths of communication and therefore you are loosing comm with these devices. If you really want to keep using Zipatile as mobile terminal I would buy a Z-wave repeater and install it on the zone you loose comm more frequently, or even better I would buy repeater devices like Zipato ON/OFF switches that can be installed in that zone and will give you more stability in the network and more Automation possibilities and functionality.

Hi Alberto;

So even if i move the box for 30 or 40 cm the network routing path is affected as well???

When my zipabox is fix no problem of communication it's working very fine.

So it must be fixed ? The communication will be very fine??

how i can test the network range in each room i have a z wave device installed is there any tool??
