Zipatile Leds and buttons in rules

Jens Johansson shared this problem 7 years ago
Solved

I have an idea regarding providing feedback based on conditions, and I want the Zipatile LEDs to provide this feedback.

For example:

I want the LEDs to be white per default

I want the LEDs to be red if the alarm is armed

I want the LEDs to be green if the power outlet controlling the engine warmer is on

The reason I want the LEDs to be white per default is to be visible so I can "see" the buttons, and then press the upper right button if I want to start the engine warmer (LEDs goes green), and long-press the upper right button if I want to turn off the engine warmer (LED goes white).

Think the same for controlling the garage door, etc.

Q:

* I can set the color of the LED to pretty much any color, but not white. How do I set the Zipatile LED to white in a rule?

(it would be great if I could simply write the color code in the rule field...)

(it would be great if I could get the same "choice" as with the Zipato lightbulb, there I can choose white and how warm a color should be)

It used to work like that. Then something happened and no longed did my buttom backlight change accordingly. I had to create rule to monitor the color based on armed / disrmed which works, but for some reason every day I see the zipatile having white buttons at a stage. Not sure why.

It used to be the choice of SETRBGW on the ACTION puzzle drop down, I guess with the new firmware it changed... we should report this to zipato.
