Zipato services!

I was told from here that I wouldn't need to buy any extra packages as long as I registered my Zipabox before firmware 1.0

Now I can't build the rules I want without paying... Is this scam or what??? (1.0 is not even released yet)


WHY is it like this??


I DO WANT A LEGAL REPLY!!!

In many other ways I´m quite happy with my Zipato box.

But even though I also contacted support and they unlocked features for me, i constantly run into elements - like e.g. using variables/attributes in rulebuilder RTEs etc I´m promted to pay. That is quite contradictory to the announcement that all features for customer who bought prior to v1 would be free. The pay option should just be cancelled for users WHO bought prior to v1 or they from a legal perspective market the solution as a pay-pr-service solution (which in my eyes then should cut at least 75% off the hardware Price for users engaging after v1)

What should be free for us, its a bit unclear?

All "Protocols" are free i think but not "Features". Like "Messaging pro"?

We are upgrading Zipato system constantly. Buying the Zipabox doesn't include free life-time warranty, free life-time maintenance nor free life-time development. However there will be always new upgrades, services, features or versions available for purchasing. This can be done through the in-app store.


For customers which are willing to get everything all the time, plus higher level of support, there is a premium service available for purchase as well. For just Euro 99.- per year.


I don't know which rules you want to create, but I guess you want to use some of premium functions which are not included in the price of the controller. These functions are actually available for all users until we publish the official v.1.0 and you should contact support in case you can't activate them. However, even so you will get them all which are available now, in the future there will be new ones, since we are working constantly to develop them. These will be available for existing customers which buy the yearly maintenance package. This one will include all upgraded functionality, and after expiration of the year, all upgrades will stay active forever. But again, there will be new ones in the future.


If you dislike the fact that you have to pay for new options which we will develop in the future, you are free not to buy them at all. Also, if you don't like Zipato system neither with or without buying or not buying additional options in the future, than you are free to return Zipabox controller to your dealer.


Just please, don't abuse our community forum here, as we are working quite hard in order to maintain it, as well as Zipato system in general.

I do understand that I can't get everything for free forever, but there has been a lot of unclear postings regarding this functions to pay or not to pay.

Not even when you describe it here again it's clear.

Does this mean that if I (already customer) buy the "All Inclusive Option" for 99$ before FW: 1.0 I will then get and keep all options available today forever... Any new functions that is not listed the day I buy it , I might haveto pay for? in the future?

It would be really nice if this was written in stone on your forum or in the FAQ, then I would not haveto sent these messages that makes you angry, and I don't haveto feel stupid when reading your reply.

Now when I write this I also fins something strange... When using Chrome, some things are disabled, but with IE it works... I attach a PrintScreen....

The Functions you have now, you will have them later also.


But if new functions are coming, you have to pay for it, like Netatmo or Nest Support.....

I doubt zipato have really made up there mind to 100% about the payment system since they have yet not gone into detail of everything.

First post about the 1.0 was in the summer and got a massive discussion here on the forum. I assume its now delayed to the fact of peoples reaction.


However i hope they come out with information that is detailed. Both for the existing customers and the future ones.

Most retailers in sweden don't have any information about your product when it comes to the future system of addon costs.

Only one knows that its coming and is hinting that you should either buy it now before 1.0 or wait and see what it actually contains.


- current users needs to know exactly what will change for them with 1.0

- future customers needs to know what they buying

- Addons explanation what contains is poor at best. This needs to change and be well documented


I my self is still constantly following other hubs and solution so i can switch due to not knowing the road map for zipabox. I dont invest more in the box due to the same fact

The other day i did chose a 3ed partry energy monitor for the house instead of zipabox own since i don't know how the payment system will look like in the future.

I got a answer from zipato today. Because i should pay to send variable in Push messages.

I think everything will be free till version 1.0

But it isn't.

So i'll say bye, return my box and change to another system.

I don't think, that this marketing is the right way for zipato and it won't work if customers have to pay so much for things that should be default included.

Same with me - i need to buy to send variables in messages - beside the fact that it was supposed to be for free... i do not even see where to buy from... the purchasing system does not seem to be live

So, the CEO states "These functions are actually available for all users until we publish

activate them" and support won't let you? That is really bad customer service... They told me the same, but I pasted Sebastians reply and asked for an explaination. I then got an answer saying that the functionality now was turned on for my account.

Same thing here. I really don't understand Zipatos business model, and therefor only buy new z-wave devices that are compatible with several systems. Zipato has several different boxes, before they have a working software side. The system is instable and the android app aswell. You should seriously think about where you are going with this. I can´t understand the logic in making a system for Huappagen, or whatever they are called before they´re even ready to go public with 1.0... And even the unfinished interface is "pay to work"... ZERO consistency.

Chose a interface for the web and the app and stick with it, concentrate in stability and make the features you already have functional before adding new ones. For me and most others to be willing to pay you 99 euro/year, you´ll have to have stable, buggfree product. No one is paying 99 euro without trusting you, and most don´t. Becouse you oversell and underdeliver, over and over. Also, as a CEO you should really thing about communicating your visions of your future development. Especially since Apple homekit is about to enter the market for real.

Its free for betatestning, so thats until version 1.0 is released, then it will be behind the Paywall

Will not. Anyone who registered before 1.0 will have all existing additions. Once they move to 1.0 and release new additions will be charged. Zipato is playing long term not short term. Not need to be afraid.

Hi,

For about 1,5 month the "all inclusive service " was 1 month 9 Credit, now only 1 Year 99 Credit.

Why having pay for all extra. Not even a small Cloud storage included FREE from start.

Do I need to pay to get this before ver. 1.0 ?
