Zipato virtual Thermostat pro

Under Consideration

I got a problem with the Zipato virtual Thermostat pro. When the temperature is set to 20.1 it stops heating long before it retches the set temperature. Why does it do that

I think I changed the setting to 0 in the API without paying. Let see if it works over the next days

It depends of some parameters.

For example a boiler may stop heating if it reaches its maximum allowed temperature, in this specific case the thermostat may be on "heating" and the boiler temporarly stopped.

In other cases it may depend of the entries you selected to trigger your endpoints...

etc.

You should be more specific when exposing an issue with the thermostat widget.

(PS. I'm not from Zipato, nor a "power user" :D )

I found out watts the problem its the hysteresis or dead zone in the thermostat I found it in the API. But I can't seem to set a new value

As far as I understand, if you set the temperature on 20.1, and hysteresis is 0.5, the heating should stop at 20.6 and start again at 19.6. It should not stop before it reaches 20.1.

I think that Zipato have changed hysteresis. Last winter, I think that hysteresis was 1.0. My ovens stopped at one degree higher than my temperature setting and starter again when it reached 1 degree lower than my setting. The fluctuation of 2 degrees was not very comfortable. Hysteresis of 0.5 will be much better, but I would of course like to decide the hysteresis myself. And I will rather sell my Zipabox than paying 99 euros a year to get this feature.

This things is really strange to me? 99 euro for controlling hysteresis?

I am actually not sure about the price, because I haven't found any specification of what is included in the different optional packages. I have just read in a thread in this forum that hysteresis adjustment is not possible without buying a package.of some kind.

And there has been no comments from Zipato in the other threads that I have complained about this.

Does anybody know?

Yes, I have checked my heating tonight, and it works with the fresh settings. That is good news. No more going from too cold to too warm.

Hi there,

i have a problem setting the input temperature of the Thermostat pro.

i want to use a wll plug with electrical heating, therfore i have to use the pro (according to the box) after adding the plug and the sensor the Thermostat is presenting 22.0 degree as Temperatur without recognizing the sensors values?

Can someone help me out.

testet the non Pro Thermostat and ist seems to show the correct Temp but there i cannot add the wall plug.

I had same issues. I also need to use the PRO and despite my thermometer was showing 20 degrees, the thermostat was showing 22. Nevertheless I have spend days of configuring the thermostat again and again...

However I believe once you create a thermostat pro, it can take even a day to reflect the correct values from the thermometer...like a bug or something...When i checked the followign day, it was showing the correct values...

Hi,

found a Problem with Fibaro Smoke Sensor as Tempertur sensor.

With 4in1 Sensor the Temperatur worked fine. But don't have those in the room with the radiator.

Mayby Zipato can check how to use the Fibaro Smor Sensor

I had the same problem with one of my termostat pros as well. After adding and removing a couple of times, it suddenly worked after a reboot of the box. Definately a bug.
