Hello, I have a ZXT‐120 IR extender connected to air-conditioning. it works but the IR send command continuosly and the air-conditioning respond with a beep.

is there a way to make IR extender to send only one time the command? or set something in zipatile (wakeup of IR or something else) that is able to suspend the continuously sending of command of IR?

it is not possible to use it during the night.

thank you.

Hi, it is known issue. When ZXT‐120 is used as temperature sensor (temperature input in Virtual Thermostat application) IR extender sends a signal 3 times to the AC, so the AC receives this command and makes a sound notification 3 times. The issue is that this happens every 10 seconds, so the AC is beeping 3 times every 10 seconds which becomes annoying after couple of minutes.

The same issue occurs whether IR Extender is connected via batteries or USB.

The good thing is that it happens on firmware versions: v1.8, v1.7b, 1.20, while firmware versions v1.6 and v1.12 work fine.

Which firmware version you have you can see that under device settings > advanced.

Also, it's good to note that if the AC codes are learned manually this issue doesn't happen (no matter which FW version is installed), but if the codes are chosen from the drop down list (from ZXT's code base) the issue is there and the IR Extender is sending the 3 signals every 10 seconds.

As a work around you can use another temperature sensor.

Hello Enzo,

did you try reincluding the device? Keep in mind that you might lose the codes you've saved to it already. I'm awaiting your feedback so we can take further actions.

Best regards,

Stefan

I can still use it at night as usual connections game. Check to see if you have it set to automatically turn off at night.
