aeon multisensor 4in1 values are wrong and not reliable

KoalaBear shared this problem 11 years ago
Known

Hi there,

Just bought 2 of the aeon multisensor 4in1. Did a firmware upgrade for EU.

But the values are wrong and not reliable.

AEOTEC1 indicates 18.60 degrees, 49% humidity, 528lux

AEOTEC2 indicates 17.30 degrees, 47% humidity, 528lux

Fibaro door with sensor indicates the temperature 19.62 degrees

My weather station indicates 20.00 degrees, 32% humidity

This setup I tested it for 4 hours.

See my setup;

Hope you can help.

Is this due to the zipabox or to the modules? I think the zipabox receive the information and display it or do an action. But if the module send something wrong... the zipabox can not correct it! This is my guess!

At least the information is interesting for others users who plan to buy this one !

Fred: does the aeotec multi work without any trix and issues ?

And will it do that even on battery?

There is a lot of problem with that device in ex. HomeSeer...

Do every child-node work and report data?

I have no idea!

Sorry!

That was to KoalaBear

Yes everything works, without any problems. (after the firmware update)

Exept for good values

Okey how did you update the firmware?

Earlier today I was on my way to throw that MultiSensor out trought the window, together with HomeSeer....

Maybe a new firmware will save the life of my &@/!*^%# MultiSensor :-/

Still waiting to get my ZipaBox to play with...

Thanks!

New firmware and tested with HomeSeer.... still the same problems :-(

1-0 to Zipato :-)

Think that HomeSeer is to old... ;-)

It's time for something new... ZipaBox!

@Zipato is it possible to make a offset value + - , especialy for the temperatur sensors

It is possible. Currently we have it implemented within a thermostat widget, but it is still not available through the GUI. We will add this feature in one of the following server updates...

Regarding the 4in1 sensor and wrong values.

If you not have it connected with the USB cable, test with that.

Remove the device and then reinclude it with USB.

Saw in other forum that it could help

Yes, it would be very convenient to calibrate all thoses sensors... None are reporting the same values...

Hi, I have the same problem !

Two AeonLabs Multisensor and i havent the same value they are also in the same place with the same parameters (Firmware 1.18, Remove, Reset, Include with USB Link, 4sec report for each Values).

I have contact with the AeonLab support i'm waiting.

Like #Fred i think it is not a mistakes of Zipato but of Aeon Labs. If it is this is scandalous to pay 70€ each module for this precision

AEON RESPONSE: I am sorry about my late response, i have been having trouble tracking down

the right engineer to find out about the calibration. I have learned that at the

moment, the multisensor cannot be calibrated.

Best Regards,

Chris

Support Aeon Support :

"Hi Anthony,

I was talking to one of our engineers, and i have been told that the multisensors have a + or - 2 degree's C precision from each other.

Which is the difference between your multisensors.

At the moment, there is no way to calibrate the multisensors as of now.

Best Regards,

Chris"

So, it is normal for us to have 2 degrees difference beetween Multisensor !! And at this time no way to Calibrate the Multisensor

Aeon Lab Multisensot : 70€ +/- 1°C accuracy !

DS18B20 :~3€ +/- 0,5°C accuracy ! (http://datasheets.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/DS18B20.pdf)

Which update!?

All the values are wrong of the AEON when it is on batterylife!

already a solution for this?

I have the same problem but with -4.

In the climat module, can you include a virtual sensor or virtual meter (temperature) for use DS18B20 with arduino for example.

No news about the offset adjustment in the user interface of the web App?

I have 2 units and the difference of the mesures are really important.

Thanks
