Philio PSR04 is registered, but does not submit any events when used

Hi :)

I can add the Philio PSR04 anytime i try (fails if it is out of range etc.), but once added, any action taken does not show up under events in the old GUI.

In the new GUI, the even-screen doesnt even load.

I did some digging, and as far as i can see the problamatic part is the ZwZwaveLevelControlMlvlSwitch part. This seems misconfigured?

Due to very limited raw-data, it is hard to do any digging without support from Zipato :/

Is there anyway i can update the firmware of the device through zipato?

Has anyone gotten this switch to work through Zipato? (it says -> Supported By Zipato after adding it..)

Crossing my fingers for a reply or two :)

Good news!

I got called up from Tronika A/S (where i bought the device online), and they informed me, that this controller is supposed to work with direct association only.

As sad as this makes me, i was then able to configure it directly to a fibaro Wall Plug v2, and on/off now works fine. So atleast, it looks like there is nothing wrong with the device itself!

I tried the same process, to manually associate it to a fibaro 212 dimmer, but this has not been successfull so far. It neither registeres on / off, or dimmer percentage :/

Ideas?

Now I have my device and I am facing same issues. Have you been able to solve the problem? I have tried it with a virtual level control in the old app.

Hei Jørgen,

I'm looking at the same Philio controller in Tronikas store and was looking through the manual. I looks like the controller only submits Basic command class on Group 2

  1. Group 1 is for receiving the report message, like the battery level.
  2. Group 2 is for light control, the device will send Basic Set command to this group.

When you look at the manual of a Fibaro Dimmer they support association sending multilevel command class

  1. 3rd Association Group „Dimmer (S1)” is assigned to switch no. 1.

Sends MULTILEVEL SWITCH command class frame. Allows sending

    dim/brighten command to associated devices.

I believe a dimmer (Fibaro and Qubino at least) expects multilevel command to be able to dim. The problem with the basic command class is that it is not regulated and every manufacturer can send any value they seem fit. What I understand is that it is possible to send multiple values in basic command but the receiving device must support the same value set/range.

I'll looked too good to be true and seems it is :( I would contact Philio. Maybe they can come with some updates for the device to support multilevel.

Regards

Stian
