Sun Sensor is missing

Under Consideration

Hi, a really stable working and affordable sun sensor is a missing device. Based on my research there is only one zwave version existing (sold by Coquon). There are plenty of stable 433,92MHz devices which are not really supported by Zipato. E.g. this one

From my point of view the integration of the Somy RTS Sunis sensor or any other 433,92MHz is help for many users and an adavantage for Zipato vs. other Systems as well.

Marcus

Hi Marcus

I use a Fibaro Eye sensor for that and the luminance. If the lux value is over e.g. 1000lux then this means the sun is out.

I think the RMF sensor does exactly the same in the background.

Does that help?

Thanks

I guess a waterproof or outdoor resistant sensor would be highly appreciated.

The Fibaro eye is only IP20 as far as I know...it dont have any seal within the housing to protect the circuit or battery from the elements. So this one is just for indoor use or for any DIY solution maybe

I use my Fibaro eye outdoor but yes it is mounted on a dry space under a glass roof. This works for me.

Maybe another option could be this: Sensative Strip

But not sure if it is compatible with Zipato. But I'm sure Support could give the answer to this.

Thanks

The El Tako light sensor works. It's an EnOcean device, so you'd need the corresponding module. The advantage is that it doesn't use batteries.https://www.greenelectric.eu/Wireless-outdoor-brightness-sensor-EnOcean-Eltako
