Hi, is it possible to add another controller to the zipabox network? (for example, the honeywell lynx Touch 5100 with its z-wave module) or any other "static" controller?

Yes it is possible. The secondary controller will become an inclusion controller. You can use the inclusion controller to add devices to your network. However, the devices you add with the inclusion controller will not be visible on your Zipabox dashboard. This feature will be implemented sometime in the future.

thank you for the answer, so if i understand it right i can use both Zipabox and any other controller to control the same set of devices? meaning both will do exact switching on/off same devices / modules? and is there is any special configuration required or the 2nd controller will learn the available devices on Zipabox?

The secondary controller will not automatically learn the available devices from the Zipabox. The secondary controller should periodically query the Zipabox for network updates (whether new devices have been added or existing ones removed).

Be warned that the Z-wave standard does not enforce controllers to periodically query for network updates when they are secondary controllers in a Z-wave network.

The standard merely recommends that such queries should be done at least once per 24hrs.

Also be warned that the Zipabox currently cannot be used as a secondary controller.
