Now Variable

Does anyone know how the NOW variable works?
I'm trying to basically put the time NOW into the email so I created a rule as per attachment "Capture"
Configured the message as per "Capture2"
and it sends the message with a number not a time as expected in "Capture3"
Any help appreciated. Seems like a very simple thing.

Yep but email can take to come through and Zipabox is in my vacation home in different timezone to my email so far from ideal.
All I want is to add in the text of the email:
Door Opened on : dd/mm/yyyy at hh:mm:ss
Can't believe this can be such a difficult thing to do.
