Add public certificat SSL with trusted root CA (and not self signed)

Address https://my.zipato.com:8443/zipato-web/ uses SSL but if I well understand, it is a self signed certificat and not a trusted root certificat like VeriSign, Thawte ,Geotrust, GlobaSign...

I want to buy a Zipabox, which seems to be a really good product, but only if security is ensured at maximum!

As I already explained, it's not that I consider it as very important, but as lot of you were asking for it, check:

For me it is required, especially for the management of the alarm system.

Will you implement Public key SSL certificate ?

User's password don't go unencrypted over the internet. We are not using HTTP Basic authentication.

The SHA1 hash (of random string from the server (nonce) + SHA1 hash of user's password) is the thing that goes unencrypted over the internet.

Regarding the Zipato Alarm system, it is protected additionally with the PIN which is placed locally on the Zipabox where authorization is again encrypted in similar way.

Hi, I'd also appreciate a public certificate if possible.

I hope you will implement it.

Keep up the good work...

Hi Zipato team,

Have you finally decided to buy the SSL cert trusted by a public CA?

This seems to be a minimum to protect our data exhange from our box to your cloud through the internet.

As you know, your current self-signed cert is very low security and warned as unsafe by browsers.

Could you give us a date?

Thank you for your quick reaction as this requirement was already

requested 1 month ago and now we (clients) want some security garantees

to connect to your cloud.

Cheers.
