Adding device does not start countdown in IE or Chrome but works with Firefox

I have a really strange problem:

On my main computer (running Windows 7 64-bit) I can not get the countdown to start when I add devices.

It just says "Starting...." and nothing more happens. This is the same problem with both latest Internet Explorer and latest Chrome. I installed Firefox on the same machine and the countdown starts.

On any other machine I have at home (as well as laptops and from my work) using Chrome and Internet Explorer works.

I guess it is some kind of setting in either IE or Chrome but what setting would block the count down to start that is not blocked on my other computers (and not in Firefox on the SAME computer)?

I use Bitdefender as the antivirus/firewall software on the computer that has problems and I have tried with deleted the firewall rule for both IE and Chrome in order to get a new alert when Chrome and IE is trying to access the web but that didn't help either.

Any suggestions?

I think I have found the problem: BITDEFENDER!! (I have version called Internet Security 2014 and this also includes a software firewall... )

The strange thing is that it works fine for Firefox but not for IE and Chrome and even if I add Chrome and IE as safe programs for the firewall they still do not get the count down to start.

I can see in the firewall log that Bitdefender is stopping the incoming packets due to "Stealth mode" and eventhough I turn off stealth mode I still see the same log entries... :-(

Even if I turn off ALL Bitdefender features it still does not work. Only a COMPLETE uninstallation if Bitdefender made it possible to get the countdown to start when using IE and Chrome.

I installed the free version of Avast as antivirusprogram and will test with enabling the Windows 7 firewall tonight and see if the countdown still works when using that software based firewall. I will also try with Personal Firewall and Online Armor Free.

So the conlusion is that Bitdefender is causing the problem and I could not get it to work with IE or Chrome eventhough I tried with adding rules for the firewall to let through Chrome and IE.
