Hello,

Just bought wall blugs from Aeotec (Smart Switch Gen5 – ZW075-C16) and it doesn’t seems to be supported by Zipato. At least I am not able to make a connection with my Zipabox. Can you please support this device?

If this device will not be supported, could you please inform me so I can return Aeotec wall plugs and swap them to something that works with Zipabox.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

I have the same problem. The first one worked fine but i cant get the second one to be included. The Zipabox finds it but cant include it.

Kind regards,

Zipato solved it. They updated my Zipabox.

I have several of the Aeotec Smart Swith 6 devices on my Zipabox. Two have Aeotec firmware 1.1 and three are firmware version 1.2.

Question 1 - Is there a way for the Zipabox can be used to update Aeotec firmware or would I need to use Aeotec's Z-Stick (Gen 5)? If not, is it on the roadmap to make firmware upgrade of Aeotec products a future feature?

Question 2 - The Smart Switch documentation talks about how to include the device so it's part of the z-wave security infrastructure using encryption. Is there any way to verify whether the Zipabox has included the new device in this manner?

Question 3 - The switches with the older firmware included capabilities of: clock, meters and on/off. The v1.2 firmware has those three but also adds: lighting color control (rgb bulb which I assume is for the colored ring on the device) and multi-state actuator (which I assume is a dimmer function). From what I know, this is only a switch and not a dimmer. If you try to use it as a dimmer, it doesn't work in that function. Also, changing the RGB values doesn't seem to change anything on the switch. Does anyone know why these additions are present? Are these new features which need to be supported by the Zipabox before they are functional?

I've gotten some answers to my own questions:

The "dimmer" function applies only to the built-in multi-color LED. It only works in night light mode. To set the device into that mode you have input parameter 81 with a value of 2 into the device settings. Then the light/dimmer control will set the level of the built-in light. It does not dim the primary load being controlled as that remain a switch.

Just recieved 2 of the gen 6 aeotec smart switches. They got included fine, but only the switching function is working. The power metering function does not seen to be supported by zipato. Is this a function that could be updated with the next version of the zipabox fw?

Dear All,

Aeon smart switch 6 is fully supported but currently we experiencing issues with Meters readings.

Our team is working on this case.
