Alarm, Health Care Mode and Amazon Echo

The health care mode got better with one of the last updates, but I still have some problems.

1. Healthcare now doesn´t "forget" a real alarm, but there are still far too many false alarms

2. If I want to arm or disarm an alarm with a scene (I use "Alexa, switch alarm on" when my mother leaves home and want to deactivate healthcare and switch alarm on) I only get the options included/not included. Sometimes there are the three options, but they can not be saved.

3. My mother now switches most devices via amazon echo. But I can not include a state change of a device into an alarm or health care mode. I would like to see devices being included in alams / health care.

Has anyone experienced the same issues?

Klaus,

I don't really have experience with the Healthcare alarm, however I have had false alarms with the Security one, I'm still trying to figure out why but looks like the issue is the motion sensors not zipato controller.

Regarding Alexa running scenes I just started testing it and for what I have seen scenes run much slower than direct device control, creating a group on Alexa and triggering it seems lightning fast.

I have experienced settings on my security alarm not being saved after save and sync, however I was running previous firmwares, have you tried to upgrade to the latest beta and see if that helps? if not then open a ticket on Zipato support.

Another option you have is creating a virtual switch called "Switch alarm on" or something similar, then create a rule like; WHEN switch ANY, THEN WAIT 30 seconds, ARM Home/Away, then turn switch OFF.

Hi Alberto,

I´m already on the latest beta (1.2.15) and yesterday I got so tired of false alarms that deleted the elderly care mode and now just rely on my own "elderly care" rule (which until now produced no false alarms and was quite reliable) This rule is started by an virtual switch (health care on/off) and has some advantages over the built in healthcare: The biggest advantage is that I use my own message which is far more understandable than the system mail. Furthermore I can include every sensor or device I want, can use different times for different devices. If you are interested: Here is how I did it:

https://community.zipato.com/topic/problems-with-healthcaremode-own-healtcaremode

(I now put the "set variable =36" into every rule where I want to trigger that healthcare mode.) I already think about my own alarm with a virtual switch as you proposed (similar to my healthcare).

I didn´t recognize the delay in starting sceenes but I will have a look on that. If a scene really is slower, than I´m going to change it from using scenes to two more virtual switches.

Best regards.

Klaus

This is the system mail which no one apart from me will recognize as an alarm:

Hi Klaus,

Read very carefully, this is a very important alarm message.
