Alarm tripped indication on Zipato MiniKeypad

Hi,

is there a way to get the Zipato MiniKeypad to beep or otherwise indicate that the house is armed and the alarm has tripped upon entering the house? From the documentation it seems that this might be possible by sending the SWITCH_BINARY_SET in a rule, however this is not an action we can choose. A normal alarm system often beeps when you enter an armed house.

Best regards!

Don't think this is possible yet. But i'm using the Zipato Bulb for this wich i have near the alarm panel/front door.

Blinking Green = Alarm on

Red = Alarm triggert

Green = Alarm Off

etc

Thanks, this is clear, but could you confirm that if the keypad is always awake, the buzzer/beeper will be trigered, when entering in alarm zone, as explain in the initial post ? ( by example, if I replace battery whith an alternate power supply :-), and put the keypad as always awake :-) )

I know it's been awhile so I was hoping there would be a different solution. How does everyone know the alarm state if the keypad doesn't do anything? Is there an alternative device that I can use to indicate state as opposed to something like a lightbulb? I would also like some indication that I have successfully either armed or disarmed the system.

I configured the Zipato Siren to "Beep!, Beep!" when arming and disarming.

Did you make a separate rule for this, or did you manage to do this in the security device/component?

It is in the security component. You go into the alarm panel, select the wrench "settings" and add the appropriate actuators as squawks for arm/disarm notificators.

see post for squawk https://community.zipato.com/knowledge-base/search?search_phrase=virtual+alarm&x=0&y=0

I created a rule to beep the internal alarm when I open the door and the alarm is set. So I know that the last person that left home did set the alarm. You can do whatever: turn on a light, etc ...

Dear Olivier,

Ive tried to mimic your Rule, but I seem to not have the siren action 'Beep'

I have ''Off' 'On' and 'Toggle'

Is the beep or the device a custom device?

Thank you in advance!

I use the Zipato Siren where you can trigger 6 sounds including 'door bell' and 'beep'.

Just noticed this question is now answered, maybe from my workaround :), I still wish i could set a blinking status to the led when partition is armed. :(
