BackUp Module Functiuns unrecognize on one on my zipabox

Hello,

I have 2 zipabox with power backup module, one was bought last year, the other one 2 months ago.

On one of them (the new one), appears the following functions :

- backup module power mode as a sensor

- backup module shock sensor as a sensor

- backup module battery as a meter (but battery level is always at 25% and the battery status is always unknown).

And on the older one none of those pieces of information appears.

Is it normal ? Must I do something special ?

Does those function really work as nothing change when I unplug the power plug and use the battery or when I do shake the box.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Philippe.

We modified the firmware and the web interface to show the battery status (charging / discharging) and percentage of charge on a single meter, and temperature on a separate sensor on the dashboard.

We published those changes on the web interface, but haven't yet released the new Zipabox firmware - we will do so shortly.

In any case, changes become visible if you synchronize the box with the Backup module connected - that's why you're seeing this on only one of your modules.

I have the same problem. Battery level always shows 26% in my case though!

I need to monitor if my house supply has lost power and should be able to do this by monitoring whether the backup module is discharging or not. How can I do this on the Rules Creator?

I have the samen problems for many months now. Not able to see if the main power is off.

I also have the 26%, i think this is the bat temp. Some back-up module sensors are mixed up.

I have tried this and it still does not work. I have the same rule as you have above:

Hello Ian,

Rule is working but your Backup module has old device descriptor. You can see difference between "Backup module battery" and "Backup module" Open a ticket with support so that your device descriptor gets updated.
