Battery level on rules
Need Answer
How can I get the battery level of a sensor in rule creator?
I'm making a scheduled check battery status to send message in case of low level...
No connection
Real-time notifications may not work
This is not possible yet :(
This is not possible yet :(
What????????
There isn't a internal check for the batteries low level and doesn't exist a way to get the battery status level to make rules ????
...and should use this system as an alarm for my house??? Really???
I've purchased Zipato insead Fibaro for the three things:
1.Security Alarm (Not secure caused by z-wave battery drain not controllable status and not stable mesh without main power)
2. programmable interface (in these conditions is limited and nuisance caused by the need to have internet)
3. and the battery backup module (not yet purchased)
I'm thinking seriusly to switch to fibaro center lite...
I know they have problems too, but at least I have an amazing GUI to show on wall tablet....

Relax dude...i'm not your enemy.

No heroes you are not my enemy but If Zipato sell a kit as an security alarm and we can't use it as a real and affidable alarm because a battery powered pir sensor can't comunicate to zipabox with backup battery if there is not main power this is a problem... (my pir's without main power can't comunicate to zipabox because the mesh is absent without main powered z-wave devices that act as repeaters)
...because someone sells products without telling the whole truth (see my last battery duration post etc...)

More device like the Fibaro multi sensor has the "tamper" and "low-battery" alarm notifications....
Can anyone explain me if these low-battery alarms can be catched from zipabox and used to send warning messages by mail?
...Or... if is not possible now... are there possibilities to be implemented in a near future?

Hi EddyZwave,
I did not test it but it might be possible to use Puzzle - Advanced -Alarm component
This gives you various options like tamper, battery etc
I attached a screenshot where i added a motion sensor.

Has or has it not been resolved so that Zipato can provide status of batteries?

Zipato can you give any commands?

This option would be really great. Especially as you advertise the Zipabox as a security device, having powered sensors is extremely important.

So how are we supposed to know when a batter goes dead in a sensor? I guess wait for it to go offline? Wouldn't that automatically trip the alarm if it was armed when a sensor dropped offline? I haven't set up my alarm yet, so I don't have any experience with how it works.

Any update on this? It looks like a pretty critical feature to have...

Thanks Adrian,
I am just wondering how we can be alerted when a new feature is implemented...

Probably the most expected feature yet to come on Zipato, there has been some small improvements to it (at least now there are some icons there) but it has never worked. At one point Zipato also introduced a "Virtual Battery Alarm" but it also does not work, it is only good to detect if your controller has lost conectivity. I wonder when they will finally solve this issue.
