Block Connector for Wired Siren

Hi, Just taken delivery of a Zipabox controller and the backup module. The aim is to replace my home alarm system and integrate lighting control and my cctv cameras.

On the website the description for the Backup Module states it has a block connector for a wired siren, where is it? I already have a wireless indoor siren, but want to retain the existing external wired siren.

Thanks.

Hi Alan, unfortunately the new version of the backup module doesn't have a block connector for the wired siren any more. The same block connector is now being used for the RS232/485 interconnectivity with some of the existing alarm panels such as DSC and Paradox.

This connector for the wired siren will now be the part of the new Security module which will allow connection of the wired detectors too. Sorry for misleading you by the old information on the web site. Certainly we can help you to get your money back in case you don't want the backup module such as it is now.

Hi,

I read your post about connecting paradox panels to the mdule.

Is there a documentation on how to connect these together?

I have an EVO192 pael to connect - potentially to a Zipabox system

Thanks

Hello! Congratulations on your new Zipabox controller and backup module. Integrating your home alarm system, lighting control, and CCTV cameras sounds like an exciting project!

The Backup Module for your Zipabox controller has a feature that allows you to connect a wired siren. This wired siren is typically used as an external alarm that can make a loud noise in case of an emergency.

To find the connection point for the wired siren, you should refer to the user manual or installation guide that came with the Backup Module. These documents will provide you with detailed instructions on where to find the connector and how to connect the wired siren.

If you're having trouble finding the information you need, you can contact the manufacturer's customer support or visit the Zipabox website for further assistance. They will be able to provide you with specific instructions based on your model.

It's important to follow safety guidelines and consult a professional if you're unsure about any part of the installation process.
