I have a project in a big house where I have to use multiple controllers. Can those controllers communicate over a local network without internet?

Controllers which are connected in to the Zipato Cluster are able to communicate through local network, as well as through the cloud. However, Cluster feature is still not officially available, and we are planning to release beta this week.

That should be worth waiting for.

Are you planning to have a main controller as a director where the software is stored, while other controllers act only as access points? I can imagine this could improve software reliability

It is not yet available. If you will use these controllers in cluster, you will need to purchase a licence for each one of them for 100 Euro.

Alternative should be when only one controller exists and the others just sharing their internal devices. This should be free of charge. Again, not sure when this one will be released.

Still hoping that zipato would release some info and guides on this. I asked for it in a othere thread but so far it's silence from them. I suppose they do not what to share this with there customers.
