Cannot set parameter on Philio PST02-1A 4 in 1 sensor

I have a Philio PST02-1A 4 in 1 sensor.

I would like to set the "PIR Re-Detect Interval Time" parameter (8) to a lower figure.I would like to set the value to 1 (8 seconds).

However, after saving, and synchronising the new setting does not take.

Even after waiting a few days (I think the sensor sends a wakeup signal every 24 hours);

and/or if I follow the instructions to hit the 'tamper' button to trigger communication with the Zipabox;

... the new setting has not taken.

Can someone advise how to get these settings to change? Am I missing a step?

I have the same issue only with the door sensor interval. Always shows the false state every 1.5 hours. While the parameter is set to 127. (Maximum)

Pir sensor interval has no problems here.

In my case it seems that the Zipabox is hard coded with a 28 second "No Motion" time.

(So after a motion sensor detects movement, Zipbox will generate a No Motion event 28 seconds later).

On my support ticket it says,

"It is not possible to configure "PIR Re-Detect Interval Time" parameter (8) for this device because this device is not sending no motion signal only motion. Zipabox is configured to send no motion signal after 28 seconds, we will add configuration for this option but I ma unable to tell you when it will become available. "

Not sure if this has any relevance to your issue though @Gratje !

No idea. If it is relevant. I know with the door sensor report parameter I can set everything I want but it is keep sending a no motion every 1.5 hours.

Thinking of bying one of these? Are all 4 functions working properly now?

It does work with Zipabox and you can control all the parameters.

The only problem is battery life.

I have 2 of them and the batteries last 4-6 weeks. I've used default settings and tried changing parameters but nothing seems to improve it.

So seems as though it will cost around £18 per year in batteries :(

Hi Ivan

I assume the problem is with the device, not Zipato. I've gradually been trying different settings - and also tried using the Philio recommended settings - but so far not had much success!
