Cant join the mini rfid keypad

Hi.
I just bought the RFID keypad and cant get it to join. Is this a common error?
When I hold down the tamper button (not a switch on my device) for one or two seconds I hear and see the device blinking couple of times like it trying to send me some morse-code.
I have done this many times now and sometimes I get it through the first detecting step, but the second join step it always fails on diffrent errors "Time out in state: Manufacturer/grouping/add device etc)
I suspect that theres something wrong with my device

I was able to join the mini keypad approx two weeks ago without any problems. Are you close to your box when you start the inclusion? Is it from Zipato, some BeneXt devices had different firmware and does not work. I had Some troubles with learning the rfid keys, but this was solved by zipato. Otherwise create a support ticket, this device should work.

Yes, it came in a zipato-box and manual so I guess its not BeneXt.
Well, I´ll go ahead and create an SR cause this is leading nowhere.

Mine worked OK after I registered it within 1m of the zipabox

Yes!! I got the device working. I was about 2 meters away before when I tried to add the device when it failed.
Now I went to the zipabox, like 20 cm away and tried again, now the device joined correctly!

I have 3 different mini RFiD keypad from Zipato, and I cannot join it, I am holding for 1 sec, 2 sec, 5 sec, and nothing happen, I am next to my Zipabox, Even I tried with a Zipamini, what could be the problem?

Hi Robert.
Unfortunately the only tip I have is to try and be further away from the zipato box, and only have batteries in one keypad when joining them.

The problem was the batteries, it was low battery, it working but not properly.

I had same problem, in my case what I needed to do is to be 20 cms away from the controler .. and it worked...
