Hi rules creator I would like to understand the difference between the "control" and the "sensor" puzzle. Is there any difference when you use them in a rule? Thanks, Frankie

Hello,

there is a difference between them. Without entering in to tehnical details, try to use them as predicted (Sensors goes in to sensor puzzle, and controllers in to control puzzle). In general, depends what is that you are trying to control or monitor. If a sensor has a tamper trigger( in case when someone opens it- it can send a signal to zipabox. In that case, if sensor is in sensor puzzle it will be available to choose between sensor values (i.e. door sensor- values; OPEN, CLOSED, ANY), but if we put the same sensor on Control puzzle we will be able to control any other endpoints if available. (on, off, any toggle depending on sensors endpoints) in this example- we could control what to do in case tamper endpoint is triggered. Control it through use of rule creator. Or we can directly associate sensors whit their endpoints.I hope this solves your issue regarding control and sensor puzzle in rule creator.

Regards, Mirza
