Create scene and activate from switch

Hi,

I have a Fibaro dimmer (FGD211) connected to a switch with two buttons. First button is setup and controls hall lamps. And I would like to setup so that the second button trigger a scene that controls most of the lamps in the apartment. I'm trying to create that through a rule. But I can't get the second button to trigger anything. Nothing happens. Do I need to change any parameters for the dimmer? Or set it up in a special way? Maybe my rule is wrong, how do you create a rule for that? Switches are mono-stabile. I also wan't to create a rule for that button that when switched --> it runs a scene that turns on most of the lamps, BUT if the lamps are already on --> it runs a different scene. Can you also connect scenes or actions that triggers on double click? How do you set that up in that case. I think it would be a very good thing to have a section on the forum were you could post rules. Or at least post pictures of the rules and a description of what they do. Like a data bank. /Aril

Hello,

you can use what ever endpoint device have in order to use it as a trigger for certain action in a rule.Yes, you can use already predefined scenes in a rule creator. You can find scenes on a third tab in a rule creator under Devices Group (tabs are; Endpoints, Groups, Scenes).

As for the dimmer FGD211 and double click function you mentioned- it can't be done. Because that dimmer doesn't have double click as an endpoint. Double click is built in functionality which allows you to reset intensity to 100 %. It's not an endpoint. How to recognize endpoints!? In Device manager, you can see all devices and their's endpoints. Same endpoints can be used in a rule creator.

Mirza

I have the same issue. I want to trigger a rule when I switch the second switch on the dimmer.

I find the switch in the rule creator but I can't get the rule to trigger when I put the button2 in the when-puzzle.
