Delete old app on ZipaTile

After changing Zipatile to V3 I tried to delete the old app, because at every reboot the old app is started first and not the new one, even the new one is marked as launcher.

In „App“ section of Android there is no button to remove old Zipato app. I did not found any ideas in the net to solve this. Old Zipato app is not listet in „Device Management“ as administrator app. This was the only idea in the web.

Because it is an important issue I start a new topic.

Hi

the procedure for installing a new app on Zipatile is as follows:

- Unplug the Zipatile from the power supply

- Press "Volume up" and "Power" buttons at the same time and hold for minimum 10 seconds. Your ZipaTile will shut down.

- Press "Volume Down" and "Power" buttons at the same time and hold until the Android Recovery screen appears (30sec)

- Select to clean (wipe) data partition , hold down "Power" for 3 seconds to confirm

- Reboot the system

- Update controller firmware to v1.3.94+

- Open App Repo through the old Zipato app

- Install Zipatile Home application (black icon)

- Reboot the Zipatile

- If the old application starts up, press Home (circle) button and select Zipatile Home as default home app

Hello Dino,

there is option "wipe cache partition" or "wipe data/factory reset"

which do you mean by "clean (wipe) data partition"?

But this will not solve the problem that the old app is still available! If you start the new app (and also set it as default launcher app), the old app will start latest one day later and you need to start the new app again manually.

That´s not really usable und user friendly!

I did the Dinos procedure (wiped data/factory reset) - now on zipato-web I see my controller online, see my devices, but I cannot control any of them (they do not react), my rules stopped working, the ne Zipato app tells me, that Zipatile is not registered so I should use the old Zipato app whic after login tells me that the registration was successful but the login page did not log in, and new app still keeps saying that zipatile is not registered

Hi

you can use V3 webUI (my3.zipato.com) to register your ZipaTile. Please check if your Zipatile is already registered on V2 platform (my.zipato.com) and unregister it from V2 if necessary.
