Need Answer

Hello.

I need a rule that the alarm is switched off (disarm), turn off the following:

- Turn off motion sensor in the living room

- Turn off motion sensor on the ground floor

- Turn off motion sensor in the floor

- Turn off motion sensor in the gaming room

- Turn off motion sensor in the garage

- Turn off sensor on the garage door

- Turn off sensor on the front door of the house

Sensors can give this to one group and ustavrim rule ???

Thank you in advance.

Greetings, Interested.

Don't quite follow what you mean.

If you would disarm the alarm the motion sensors would NOT detect a breach and send an alarm.

The sensors will still report that there is motion or a door open/closed though, just not triggering an alarm.

If you need to create a different reaction you could do so with rules like turn on lights when it's dark and the alarm is not armed. But i guess that's not what you are seeking.

I now have for each sensor and door motion sensor specifically rule, which send me an e-mail by activation.

I was wondering how to turn off rules - all at once ???

Just make 1 virtual switch and check this at every rule (if it's on/off).

Why are you not creating security partition? Then you can do just that, you can create several partitions aswell and then link to them in rules, disarm/arm etc...

Sounds easy, but if you do not know...

I would ask for one example or link please.

Rule 1When alarm=tripped and VirtualSensorX=True

An email you already get if you configured that in your "Alarm", not that it's a good reading though.

You can just change your rules by adding a condition When Door Open and Alarm is Armed send message. This way you only send a message when your system is armed

Think a better option would be to use something like push over to send a message unless you want to have a sound on each mail that arrives....

I still dont get why one would not use the Security functionality off the box, because of the "illwritten" emails? In my experience the alarm functionality is more stable then "rules". I would still recommend you to create a virtual partition through the Security tab.

Zipatobox is located at another location, so I have to find the time for testing and try with safety function.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
