"ERROR: failed to create a secure session" when arming or disarming the alarm.

Solved

I cannot change any of my alarm settings, or arm or disarm my alarm, because the webapp gives me a "failed to create a secure session" error when I enter the alarm settings.

These are the steps:

- Open the webapp using Google Chrome

- Go to the device browser

- Click on the security icon

- Click on the settings icon

- The system shows the keypad on the screen

- Enter the 4 digit pin, which is accepted

- I get the error message

From the iPhone app I also cannot set the alarm.

With the current problems I have with the box, which are there for weeks now, the zipabox has become useless. I am considering sending it back to the retailer and buying something else, if zipato keeps on ignoring these problems. Ik keep on filing support tickets, but none of them are solved by the support team. Some tickets got closed, eventhough the problem was not solved.

This issue was resolved in our Ticketing system.

Changing PIN number solved the problem for me.

This is an issue for me too. I cannot change the pin either.

I submitted a ticket a couple of days ago, but it is still not looked at.

I just bought a Zipato mini Keypad that I was trying to get working. Unfortunately I managed to arm the alarm with the keypad. I then discovered that I had mapped the Home button to Arm Home, and the Away button to Armed Away. This leaves me with no option to disarm the alarm, and therefore I'm not able to synchronize any settings with the Zipabox either.

I'm stuck with the alarm in Armed Home, since then the motion sensors doesn't trigger the alarm.

Good thing I decided not to install the siren until I was completely sure everything works flawlessly.

Flawless is certainly not the current state :P

Please have a look at this ASAP! I've still got a lot of more equipment to connect, but since the alarm is armed I cannot add any more devices.

I finally got answer back from support.

It turns out that this message means "Wrong PIN".

Hopefully They will think of a more intuitive error for the future.
