Need Answer

Hi,

I added a fibaro binary sensor to my network. I connect hardwired 2 switched (latching) to the 2 inputs.. And on output 1 i connected a led lamp for my aquarium. Now I want to be able to switch the lamp from the app, and make a rule to let it switch automatically on and of!!

locally it works(with the hardwired switches)

thanks!

What would be the trigger (event) that turned it on and off?

The outputs only follow the state of the in put :(

its not possible to switch any other way, and that sucks!

the IO is not a correct description, is shut be Input only

i was planning to connect it to may alam system to remote trigger the alarm

and read out the state. not possible... :(

so i can't make a rule to let the inputs or outputs switch on?

for what is it possible to use then?

you can only use the inputs

Say for example you had two garage doors or two window openings close to one another. Then you could use the binary input on the second door/window without needing another sensor. That's how I think it can work. Troubles is that you could not monitor each door /window separately.

Actually that is exactly what I intend to do for my gas and electricity meters. One sensor that logs when the doors are opened.

The inputs can be used separately no problem
