Hi Zipato,

When is full support for the Fibaro RGBW device coming? /Do u have it yet?/ Are u working on it?

Please respond/give us a update.

We got the fibaro rgbw in our lab. We need to develop a special control in order to explore it's posibilities. I think we publish the GUI support by the end of the next week.

That would be great!

I dont get it... Where do use this module and how? You connect it to a ledstrip and you can change light colour? Sounds like 80s to me...

so 80's, hum ?

it's not just controlling ledstrip....

Anyway....

Pas mal de possibilités en perspective si supporté. Évidemment je suis pour +1

Would be great if Zipato would be able to support this module. I have a ledstrip in my kitchen, but the lack of being able to control it's color or intensity through Z-wave makes me use it less.

Better to use this manual:

These are the settings for non HC2 users

Any news / feedbacks / comments from Zipato team ?

I'm not sure this forum/community area is followed actively by the team......

Sorry Sebastian. I was not aware of other topics and doing a search with

RGBW only returns mine.. Strange. Anyway, now I understand.I'm glad you

ae working on it.... Thanks for your work

Don't use the search on the forum. It sucks.

Search with google and community.zipato.com...works better :)

It works greate for me! Nice job! from the web interface and from the iphone.

But I can't select the color in "Scene" juste dim it.

What a shame! :-(

Hi, have the same request, it's really frustrating to have the fibaro RGBW Module support without the possibility to change colors with an easy mean.

I understand it's an heavy change for your mobile and web interface for actualy only one module, but with this you'll be competitive with the fibaro box and expensive RGB wifi controllers (customers can buy a zipabox and RGBW modules only to control RGB strings if you have this capability...

Scenes will be improved with this feature soon. Meanwhile, you can use rules and do the same with virtual switches.

I link a RGBW module on my zipabox, but inputs are not detected.

Is my configuration in attachement correct ?

This Fibaro's RGBW controller is still not fully supported. I wrote to Zipato a few month ago, when i was testing it with my RGB led strip, but nothing. They said that the software is setup for Zipato RGBW light bulb. Ok, but my led strip is only RGB and not +W. When testing with The Fibaro software, in the setup you can choose what are you going to control, and when you choose RGB led strip everything works just fine! But in Zipato, there is no such option and the software from my phone, PC or tablet can not fully control it. I can not switch to WHITE, and the buttons on the Upper and lower part of the screen (for the intensity of the light for instance), does not work at all.

Please fix it, make some updates to the software, because i am not going to invest more money in getting RGBW led strip, not only for the money, but because i do not know are they going to work.

Does anybody have the same experience and is there a solution?

Regards!

Same identical problem, At the moment I've removed the Fibaro RGBW with a standard controller + a 2,4 Ghz remote controller (I'm waiting fixes from Zipato about this issue)

I have another problem where i use the RGBW configured at 4 separate PWM outputs to dim a "Meanwell LCM 60" led driver and its working fine, except that when i set the output in the Zipabox to 0% the RGBW outputs 10v and at 100% it outputs 0V.

Anyone else confirmed/solved this?

Also the configuration was impossible to apply in the new webinterface had to do it in the old one.

Oh i see my mistake here, as the driver is acctually outputing the 10V i was fooled by it. I mostly work with industrial applications where we never use current sinking outputs.

And yes the Fibaro is using pwm and adjusting the duty cycle, since the Meanwell LCM led drivers support pwm dimming i thought the rgbw device would be perfect. Configured as a "multilevel switch" it gives 4 individual channels and the Meanwell drivers can be synced, so i could control 4 chains with one rgbw device.

And it works really well, except that its inverted :)

So then i would either live with it being this way, or maybe i could use a secondary circuit, pnp transistor to invert the pwm wave?

I would like to use a Fibaro's RGBW controller to control two different LED strips double white (cold and warm whites). I don't see how I can configure my zipabox to create two separate devices where I can select the intensity and the color temperature (without the RGB color picker in this case). I was thinking to hide my Fibaro's RGBW controller and to create two virtual devices for controlling it but it doesn't seem to work for the time being.

If someone was able to set-up his zipabox to do a similar configuration, please let me know.

Cedric, I have this setup. You can attach the two stripes to for instance Red and Green outputs and then control each channel (0-100%) through rules.

photo

Thanks Jaybee for your quick reply. It means that you select independently the 4 channels and I agree, it should work. But in an ideal world, I would prefer to see one device per led strip with two controls inside (a color picker and the intensity).

To do so, I think that it would be nice if Zipato team can add an RGBW virtual device where it is possible to select which kind of device it has to control (single color, cold and warm whites, RGB or RGBW).

Jaybee (or someone else). I am tested to command my two LED strips and I have put also momentary switches to control them. It works well. I can control the intensity from my zipabox or from a wall switch. However, a change made through a wall switch is not reported in zipato application. The RGBW seems to report overall consumption and intensity but not the individual values of the 4 channels. Intensity is ok if the RGBW is connected to one strip but in my case I need at least two values (one for each strip). Moreover, the Intensity is not reported immediately after a change but on a regular basis. I was expecting to see a change made after pushing the button almost instantaneously in the application.

Did I do somehing wrong?

photo
1

No you did nothing wrong.

I already reported the issue with the switch a few times to Zipato. But i gave up on this. Don't think this is ever going to work.

I hope that the Zipato is working on this issue. Maybe Sebastian can tell us what is the status. To see always in real time what is really the state of 4 strip lines is very crucial even if it has been changed by pushing a wall swich. I cross the fingers to see it implemented in the next firmware.
