How can I tell if my Zipato 3G dongle is actually working correctly?
Need Answer
Hi,
This is a question about the Zipato 3G dongle.
I can see there is a blue LED (occasionally I also see No LED and also occasionally RED LED) which is on most of the time but how can I determine whether the Zipabox is actually "seeing" the dongle correctly or whether it is connected to the service provider?
I manually entered the APN, username and password but I have no idea whether it is working or not.
Is the only way to pull out the Ethernet and attempt to connect to it remotely?
/Marcus
No connection
Real-time notifications may not work
Easy, i just added the APN the password and the username of my GSM provider. Insert the SIM card in the 3G module and insert it in the backup module. After a minute or so, just unplug the Ethernet cable, and the green light of the Zipabox will start blinkin.. if for a half a minute to one minute it does not stop, obviously it is not making the connection. Mine did this in les then 30 sec. No additional setup. Plug&play... I am hoping that one day (i wish soon!) all the products can be that easy to install and use!
