how many times is the zipabox blinking green?

Need Answer

Hello,

the last month I have a lot of problems with the connection of my zipabox.

I think my zipabox minimal starts blinking green 2 times a day.

after I unplug the power supply and start everything back up it is working again.

I don't have any problems with my internet connection. only the zipabox has it.

while the zipabox is blinking green I cannot set any switches or meters. no reaction

The blinkning green means that the box lost it connection to the cloud (zipatos amazon servers). The reason for this can be many. The zipato team restarted the servers, the amazon cloud got problems, servers are being upgraded.... Etc etc

During this you can't configure the system but still control the lights in local mode.

is there an option to see the status of the servers somewhere?

Hi Geert,

for now I changed the RJ45 connector. somtimes it didn't "click" maybe that solved the problem.

ok, i iwatched it for 2 weeks, but still it keeps blinking sometimes.

at the moment it is blinking again. my internetconnection is still stable.

only turning on and off the zipabox gives me back a connection.

Yepp, the Zipato-servers were down for about 5 minutes at approx 21:48 swedish time tonight.

Thanks to a great tip in the thread https://community.zipato.com/responses/myzipatocom-down-_2#comment-7852 about using Uptime Robot (http://uptimerobot.com/) I got an automatic email at approx 21:48 swedish time that my.zipato.com was down (for about 5 minutes).See attached screenshot. I can very well recommend this service! :-)

also for this forum.

my ISP provider (KPN) "thinks" after a maintenance of zipato. that there is a hacking attempt. and then the firewall blocks the incoming packages from zipato's servers.

Really? KPN blocks or your router blocks?

KPN blocks. my experiabox is blocking the servers after maintenance.

and the experiabox has no option to fully turn off the firewall.

within a couple of months i'm changing over to xs4all.

I'm done with kpn.
