How to choose correct sensor in virtual thermostat

Need Answer

I have an ESIC WT450H thermometer, which registers as multisensor in zipato. The supported meter values are temperature and humidity.

Now, I have created a virtual thermostat, and chose this multisensor as temperature input. My problem is that the thermostat picks up the humidity value instead of the temperature value from the multimeter.

Is there a way to specify which sub-meter the thermostat should use? I tried different "hide device" combinations without luck.

I found a workaround here, using a virtual thermometer.

I created a virtual thermometer, called SOVE-VIRT-TEMP in the example below. And then I created a rule

which picks up temperature changes from the acual thermometer and sends them into the virtual thermometer.

Now I can use the virtual thermometer in my thermostat with correct values.

I wonder if this is a bug or something else. The system should not take a humidity reading in the temperature part of the thermostat. I never had this problem.
