How to differentiate sensors in rule creator

I´m working on a rule, that should shut down my danfoss thermostats, when a nearby window is opened, and bring the thermostat back to normal when the nearby window is closed again.

I have named my sensors and thermostats, but they show up with generic names in the rules creator.

I found a topic, where a solution was to name the sensor on the second level as well. I tried this on 5 of them, without any luck.

I have a lot of window sensors, 16, and about 10 thermostats. So it´s a pain trying to figure out which is which.

Attached pictures of the window sensors. Same problem apply on the thermostats.

I hope someone knows what I´m doing wrong.

Best regards and thank you

Søren!

Soren,

if you click in device manager on a sensor it should open more detailed. You might have to change the name of a sub member with the little mark on the right side...see attachment.

Hope this helps?

thanks

I actually already did change the name of the submember. And for some reason it is all right and good now. Maybe it needed some time to change it. I dont know. But thank you for your answer Beat! :-)

Soren,

If you change the name of a device you have to do an "Update" (see Screenshot) on the device list! After that the devices in the rule creator will be updated too!

All these little tricks...

What I wouldn't do for a single update/refresh/sync button. :-D Yikes. Thanks for the tip.
