Under Consideration
Is the zipabox will be compatible with "IO homecontrol" technology (from velux) ? Do you think it Will be compatible one day ?

I'm evaluating what home automation solution to choose and am really interested in the zipa box. Mainly because it have the modularity to add new modules. One module I'm really interested in is the IO homecontrole since they have a better security protocol for example locks.
I really hope you will release a module for the IO homecontrol standard.

Hi,
I have many Velux windows with IO homecontrol (the only technology working with Velux).
I'm considering purchasing a box in the next 2 months and I'd rather prefer purchasing the zipabox if it's IO compatible (with a module) than a Somfy box (the only box IO compatible up to now).
Thanks
Congrats to the zipa team for the good job til now!

Hi,
My new home has 2
Velux roof windows and 4 IO Homecontrol roller shutters, all of them controlled
with IO Homecontrol wireless protocol. I also have a few ZWave and Enocean devices.
I have check all
the features of the Zipabox and almost everything feet perfectly with all my
automation needs so it would be the automation controller of my choice except
for the fact that it does not support IO Homecontrol technology which is
requirement no. 1 on my list of priorities right now.
Are you
considering to release in the near future an IO Homecontrol module? It would definitely
make me buy your Zipabox against the Somfy Tahoma that is my only choice today.
I think that more people
on my same situation would also benefit from such an IO Homecontrol module.
Thanks for
answering.

Its a bit expensiv. KLF 050 and a Fibaro roller shutter for one Velux. I use four velux!

I am using this solution, with a KUX100, but my remte is remoting my three vellux at the same time, I can't separate them, but they are in the same room and I don't really need to saparate them.
So, if you don't need to use them separetly this might be a good solution... You just have to appair youur 3 velux withe only one kux100 and it's ok !

Hi domoteek,
Is it possible to explain how you have connected your KUX100 to a zwave controller?
Which electrical stuff you have with wich zwave device?
Thanks.

I found this that does the trick via ethernet.
In addition, it removes the kux controller that has a big consumption of elictricity.

This wireless radio technology is used by a wide range of brands. It is the latest technology and it will be more important to support this in future releases.

I hope it's possible to get the zipabox compatible soon to manage all the function of the io-homecontrol®-compatible products.

I have 6 blinds from Somfy and Velux, that I would like to be able to control by my zipatile. It would be awesome if this would work! I'm thinking of buying a Tahoma box, where there is an app to control them all at once.
I'm confident that zipato can get them to work together with my zipatile... if they want...

Would be nice to get an official statement regarding the integration of io homecontrol into zipato. If integration is in progress I'd strongly consider buying a zipato box.

If an integration for somfy io is available I would buying at zipato box too.
