We are still waiting for the new app on iOS. The release date was expected to be last week . I have to remind you that even the last version of the app doesn't work anymore on my iPhone since last month .

Maybe Zipato should fix the old app , or at least make sure there is a basic new app so we can control lights and alarm. However it looks like they are going for the big bang effect and are developing a monster with bells and whistles, which we don't need and will hit the market too late.

I'm looking into an alternative controller with better iOS support.

I hope Zipato inform us if the app does not get approved. According to most app developers it can tak everything between 2 days and 3 weeks. But often with in a week the APP is approved!

I dont understand why the statut of this question changed from "not answered" to "answered" while the problem is still existing

Because: Sebastian Popovic ● 3 days ago

New app has already been submitted for Apple review...

Part of Zipato Team answerd the question, and maybe he means that with the latest version of the approved app is working better then the latest beta? Don't know but I think we att least have to wait for the new app before complaining.

Ok he answered but the problem is not solve yet : new app not released and the old one is not working . And I am sorry I have the rights to complain because I paid a lot of money for stgh that it s not working

@Sebastian: how long would the approval of an app take? Just curious how fast Apple is :)

Currently my experience is that most apps get approved within 3-5 days. Apples works on weekends too.

If an app is buggy or if you don't have a clear description of the test procedure, it may take a lot longer.

Any news about the IOS App? Rejected and so on? Zipato?

APP is still waiting for review. It is not rejected, but neither published yet:-(

Good to know, I stick with Tellevent a bit more!

photo

Really? How come our apps have already been approved within 5 days and yours is still in review?

Seriously where is the new app? Almost every other app in my iPhone have updated!

Zipato is out to break some records on the longest App review times ever ...

Almost all the other app developers update theres apps once a week or once a month. You Should Really Consider to put some more work into app development. The time for waiting for a working app is almost unbearable. When I say working, I mean text on shortcuts, flexibility to control lights and functions, the speed of the app when connecting to zipabox, the synchronization is sometimes true and sometimes not. It is not possible to select which units should be displayed and which order.

Zipato team,

Pity that you have not released the beta version ... it goes faster :)

My proposal is simple:

- release a test version (beta)

- listen to our problems and requests !!!

- in this way you will eliminate errors

- things will be improved

- and we're all happy again

Our current application "ZIPATO" has been published as universal application (for both iPhone and iPad). New one however, is still not supporting iPad (we are now working on it), so Apple don't allow us to upgrade the current one with this version of the new one:-(

This is why, we decided to publish the separate application under the name "My Zipato". This is exactly the same app, as the one which is available for beta testing under the name "Zipato". Although, we were forced to go into such a complicated process in order to publish the new APP faster, we are now waiting for Apple review for about 3.5 weeks:-(

Before publishing this app, we were already very late with it, due to our development issues, so this situation now is very unpleasant for all our customers and ourselves, and we really hope that the review process will be finished soon (successfully of course). Meanwhile, we are working on iPad support, and some additional improvements, so once after we finally pass trough this stage, we are going to be much faster with updates.

Really Sebastian? Why is it a problem to get your app approved? We never experienced such delays with the app review process, unless we messed it up ourselves ...

Just use the Hauppauge iPhone app until the official Zipato app is released. Its the same as the zipato app, search for "Hauppauge" or "mySmarthome" on appstore, download and login to your zipabox. Its just the logo thats different.

It looks like Zipato has done a deal with Hauppauge for the US market.

Then it is a sad day for us who have waited. Because I have used that App for a while and it is not that good for controlling lights.

The best thing is that you push that app once and then you can turn on and off a light with one tap. And dim on the same page.

Also you should have a looked mode and a config mode, so that you don't mistakenly create a new scene!

Why not publish a simple app that works. instead of a monster that takes months to be released. I simply don't get it ... Why not simply update the old one with some bug fixing ...

I am glad to inform you that "My Zipato" application has been finally reviewed by Apple and it has been just published on App store.

As I said before, we are already working on some improvements and we will publish new versions intensively now.
